Week 6 - Basic Human Anatomy & Proportion



This sketch took about 40 minutes, using a 4B pencil. Good foreshortening on the arm as you can tell the arm is in front of the other and it looks smaller as it is further away and the proportion looks amazing the fact the body weight is pulled down by gravity and the curvy human tissue shows great depth and detail. The tonal values on the leg and body are nice and can easily been seen. However, the leg above looks quite thin or it could how it looks from the perspective point. It's quite hard to tell but a little more improvement on the leg could be done and the toes could be in more detail so u can see the foreshortening because without them small toes it would look like a flat side view foot.
