This is a 30 minute drawing of a lakeside. There is very good foreshortening in the background and the tree is and objects in the foreground are larger. The composition is good and it is quite complex. However, the trees could do with more detail. But the reflection of the poles on the lake is very good because it implements to the waves of the water and how the currents work in the water flow. There is good sense of depth and value as the tree has light value compared to the other tree behind it. It's not that highly detailed but can bee seen what is what. If more detail and time was put into this. Then would have looked much more better than what it looks now.

Final Drawing - Figure Drawing
The image is blue because of phone camera??. Anyway, this image has a great sense of depth and the shadows and highlights are visibly seen. None of the front part can be seen due to the vantage point so only partial of the arms are included. The shadings on this image are very good. The weight of the body is on the side as he is laying down. But the feet somehow show he is standing up so that is a little confusing. Maybe more shading could have been put into this to fix the confusion. However, the background shading are good because it help make the body stand out and shows that he is laying down and not floating. The muscle are very good and very well distinguished.

Final Drawing - Still Life
This is a good drawing of two bottles, a bowl, spoon, cork, and a cloth. There is a great sense of value as the background has most of the dark shade. The cork looks quite as if it is orphaned but in the sense of the implied line it kind of makes up for that and doesn't show much in the orphaned section. The bottle on the left is the focal point and the cork and plate are are of interest. The shading is very nicely done as you can see the cloth is seen through the first bottle because it is quite transparent. The composition is very good and the background is extremely dark which kind of make the bottles stand out, which is good. The light and dark value on the plate is good and the fact the body of the plate is shaded in a curve shape which gives of the effect that it is cylindrical.

Week 12 - Coloured Natural Landscapes
This is a 30 minute drawing of a bridge in Hebden Bridge (ohh the pun.) Anyway, This is a very nice coloured drawing. It is very rich in colour and the yellow bridge dominates from everything in this drawing. It was done in the rain so this quite helped the smudge and bring out more depth in the colour due to evaporation. The water however looks too green and the sky is just plain blue and could do with more. Other than that, is it very detailed and very good. There is a good mixture of colours on the bridge and ground, with yellow, brown and green.
